Ethiopians want freedom of #Demonstration4every1

Ethiopians on Twitter have started a campaign to demand the right to peaceful protest. Using the hashtags #Demonstration4Every1 and #Assembly4Every1, a group of online activists are calling on their government to respect an article in Ethiopia's constitution guaranteeing freedom of assembly for citizens.

According to human rights groups, the Ethiopian government has led a crackdown on political protests since declaring a state of emergency after the 2005 elections. There have also been accounts of media censorship, including reports that Al Jazeera's English and Arabic websites have been blocked since July 2012.
