በ6ኛው የከተሞች ፎረም ውድድር የሲዳማዋ መዲና ሃዋሳ ከተማ አሸናፊ ሆነች። ዝርዝር ወሬውን ከታች ያንቡ፦ ባለፉት አመታት በከተማ ልማት ዘርፍ የተሸለ ስራ መስራቱን የከተማ ልማት ቤቶችና ኮንስትራክሽን ሚንስቴር ገለፀ፡፡ “ከተሞቻችን የኢንተርፕራይዞች ልማት ማዕከላት በመሆን የኢትዮጵያን ህዳሴ ያሳካሉ” በሚል መሪቃል በድሬዳዋ ሲካሄድ የሰነበተው የከተሞች ፎረም ተጠናቋል፡፡ በመዝጊያው ላይ ንግግር ያደረጉት የከተማ ልማት ቤቶችና ኮንስትራክሽን ሚንስትሩ አቶ መኩሪያ ሃይሌ እንዳሉት፥ ባላፉት አመታት በከተማ ልማት ዘርፍ የማስፈጸም አቅም በመጠናከሩ የተሸለ ስራ መስራት ተችሏል፡፡ በጥቃቅንና አነስተኛ ለ3 ሚሊዮን ሰዎች የስራ ዕድል ለመፍጠር ታስቦ እየተሰራ መሆኑን የገለፁት ሚኒስትሩ ለማምረቻ ኢንዱስትሪ ዘርፍ ትኩረት እንደተሰጠ ገልጸዋል፡፡ በጠቅላይ ሚንስትር ማዕረግ የፋይናንስና ኢኮኖሚ ክላስተር አስተባባሪና የመገናኛ ኢንፎርሜሽን ቴክኖሎጂ ሚንስትር ዶክተር ደብረጽዮን ገብረሚካኤል በበኩላቸው ከተሞች የሀገሪቱ የዕድገት አውታር መሆናቸውን ጠቁመው፥ ከተሞች በተፋጠነ መልኩ እድገታቸው እንዲቀጥል የከተማ አጀንዳዎችን ከኪራይ ሰብሳቢነት የማጽዳት ስራ ተጠናክሮ መቀጠል አለበት ብለዋል፡፡ የድሬዳዋ ከተማ አስተዳደር ከንቲባ አቶ አሰድ ዚያድ በበኩላቸው፥ ከዝግጅቱ መልካም ልምዶችን እናዳገኙ ተናግረዋል፡፡ ልምዱን ተጠቅመውም የከተማቸወን ዕድገት እንደሚያፋጥኑ ገልፀዋል፡፡ 189 ከተሞችንና ባለድርሻ አካላት በተሳተፉበት መድረክ ለሞዴል ጥቃቅንና አነስተኛ ኢንተፕራይዞች፣ ለሴት ኢንተርፕረነሮች እንዲሁም ወደ ታዳጊና መካከለኛ ለተሸጋገሩ ኢንተርፕራይዞች እውቅና ተስጥቷል፡፡ ከተሞች በፎረሙ ላይ ራሳቸውን ለማስተዋወቅ ባደረጉት ውድድር በምድብ አንድ የ

የኮሎን ከተማ ለኣለም የጥበብ ሪዕዬ ትይዕንት ሰሞኑን በሯን ክፍት ኣድርጋ ከተለያዩ የኣለም ክፍሎች የምጎርፉትን ጥንታዊ እና ባህላዊ የጥበብ ስራዎች በመቀበል ላይ ትገኛለች። በሪዕዬ ትይእንቱ ላይ ዘመን ጠገብ ቁሳቁሶች ለእይታ የቀረቡ ሲሆን፤ ከቀረቡ ቁሳቁሶች መካከል በ 19 ኛው እና በ 20 ኛው ክፍለ ዘመን የተፈበረኩ እና በህዝብ ዘንድ ተወዳጅነትን ያተረፉ መኪኖች እና የስዕል ስራዎች ይገኙበታል። ለኣብነት ያህል ከቀረቡት የስዕል ስራዎች መካከል በጀመናዊው የኤክፕሬሽን ሰዓል ኣርቲስት ማክስ ፔሄስታይን የተሳሉት ሁለት ስዕሎች በሽያጭ የቀረቡ ሲሆን ዋጋቸውም 1 ነጥብ 6 ሚሊዮን ዬሮ መሆኑ ታውቋል። የወራንቻ ኢንፎርሜሽን ኔትዎርክ ዘጋብ የዩሮ ኒውስን ጠቅሶ እንደዘገባው፤ በኣማካይ 100 የምሆኑ ጋሌሪዎች እና ደላሎች ከኣውሮፓ እና ከተቀረው ኣለም ሃሰባሰቧቸው ማስተርፒስ ስራዎች በተጨማሪ ከኢትዮጵያን እና ኬኒያ የተሰባሰቡ ባህላዊ ቁሳቁሶች ለእይታ የቀረቡ ሲሆን የሲዳማው ባርኮ ከእነዚሁ መካከል ኣንዱ ነው።

The team led a two-day community health promoter training to begin the process of engagement and recruitment of women for screening. This was followed by a two-day classroom training with local doctors and nurses and a four-day clinical training through a screen and treat campaign. The passion and expertise of in-country coordinator Ashenafi Argata and community coordinator Abiy Semunigus, together with the support of Grounds for Health Clinical Consultant Susan Hollinger and Amy Borgman, physician assistant and clinical volunteer, were indispensible in making the trip a success. By Solomon G/S In 2012, I wrote an essay titled “The Growing Inequality in Ethiopia” that was posted on a few Ethiopian Diaspora websites such as Abugida and Abay Media. In that essay, while trying to explain the manifestations of growing inequality,   I did not justify or even explain why we should worry about the injustice of growing inequality. I will try to do that here because it is important for a number of reasons. The 1960’s generation of Ethiopian youth was impressed and influenced by the egalitarian philosophy of Marxism. For the then Ethiopian society where class cleavages were apparent based on land holdings and other properties, the influence of an egalitarian philosophy could not be underestimated. Today’s generation has no overarching philosophy to anchor a belief in arresting the growing inequality in Ethiopia. Though it fairly gets attention as a health problem, its cost on the economy stayed unnoticed. In the thesis, ‘Economic Cost of Malaria on Sidama Zone, SNNPR, Ethiopia’, an attempted has made to investigate and estimate the economic cost of malaria morbidity and mortality on households and public Health institutions in Sidama Zone. To conduct the study, cross sectional household survey of randomly selected 100 households from rural setting of Sidama Zone has been done.  Data collected by interview using the structured questionnaire and interviewing key informants from March 15 – April 01, 2011. It is said that the study has an objective or aim to investigate the stability of infant and child feeding index over time that is developed based on the current recommendations and its association with nutritional status of HIV exposed infants in Sidama Zone. The index is stable overtime at individual level even though one third of the index components were not stable. The L–CFI was associated with LAZ and WAZ but not with WLZ. However there was no significant difference in change of HAZ and WAZ over time between L–ICFI tertiles for both female and male HIV exposed infants.
