Joint Press Release Sidama and Oromo National Youth Movements The oppressed peoples in Ethiopia have spent years of painful struggle against alien’s domination and dictatorship. To this end, the struggles of the Sidama and Oromo peoples have already costed countless lives and a great deal of material destruction. Based on this foundation and fact, we, the Youth Representatives of the Oromo and Sidama peoples, have met from 24th-26th October 2012 and discussed on a wide range of matters concerning our peoples and the need for a common struggle against the common enemy. We have noted the current TPLF government’s deliberate impoverishment, looting, exiling, confiscation of land and unlawful imprisonment being unleashed against the Oromo and Sidama peoples. The modern nation states incorporate some kind of mechanism through which the voice of the mass can find listening ears inside the corridors of power. Prior to these modern states, it was mostly a variety of Kingdoms that ruled the days in the lives of subjects and masters (serfs, kings, lords, etc.) In today’s world, almost all countries have ‘rule based’ governance institutions/structure, (constitutions, judiciary, etc) save few kingdoms under the tutelage of monarchs. In such not-so-modern states, the majority of inhabitants are mere subjects of their rulers and can hardly be considered citizens in the proper sense. These modern day serfs have to put up with the eccentricities of their masters without having much input in their own public existence. ኢትዮጵያ በ2005 በጀት አመት ከቡና የወጪ ንግድ 1.18 ቢሊዬን ዶላር የውጭ ምንዛሬ ለማግኘት ማቀዷን የንግድ ሚኒስቴር አስታወቀ፡፡ የንግድ ሚኒሰትሩ አቶ ከበደ ጫኔ በ2004 በጀት አመት የ832 ሚሊዬን ዶላር ገቢ መገኘቱን ገልጸው በበጀት አመቱ የታዩ ድክመቶችን በማረም የተሻለ አፈጻጸም ለማስመዝገብ እንደሚሰራ ተናግረዋል፡፡ ሚኒስቴሩ ባለፈው በጀት ዓመት ለተገኘው ገቢ አስተዋጽኦ ለነበራቸው ላኪዎችና ባለድርሻ አካላት እውቅና ሰጥቷል፡፡ በዕለቱ ተሸላሚ የሆኑ ላኪዎችም ከመንግስት ጋር የበለጠ ተቀራርቦ በመስራት አገሪቱ ከዘርፉ ለማግኘት ያቀደችውን የውጭ ምንዛሬ ለማስገኘት እንደሚሰሩ ገልፀዋል፡፡ የቡና የወጪ ንግድን የ2004 አፈጻጻምና የ2005 እቅድ መሰረት ያደረገ ውይይት በግዮን ሆቴል ተካሂዷል፡፡ ETV

አዲስ አበባ ጥቅምት 19/2005 5ኛውን ብሄራዊ የሰንደቅ አላማ ቀን ለታላቁ የኢትዮጵያ ህዳሴው ግድብ ግንባታ ቦንድ ለመግዛት ቃል በመግባት መከበሩን የሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ሚኒስቴር አስታወቀ። የሚኒስቴሩ ሰራተኞች "ሰንደቅ አላማችንን ከፍ አድርገን በታላቁ መሪያችን የተጀመረውን ህዳሴ እናረጋግጣለን” በሚል መሪ ቃል በዓሉን በልዩ ልዩ ዝግጅቶች አክብረዋል። መላው የሚኒስቴሩ ሰራተኞች በቅርቡ በሞት የተለዩትን የቀድሞ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር መለስ ዜናዊ ራዕይና ተልዕኮ ለማሳካት በተሰማሩበት የስራ መስክ በቁርጠኝነት የሚንቀሳቀሱ መሆናቸውን ገልጸዋል። ሰራተኞቹ የተጀመሩ የልማት የዴሞክራሲና የመልካም አስተዳደር ተግባራትን አጠናክሮ ለመቀጠል የበኩላቸውን አስተዋጽኦ እንደሚያደርጉም አረጋግጠዋል። በበዓሉ ላይ የተገኙት የሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ሚኒስትር አቶ ደሴ ዳልኬ ታላቁ የኢትዮጵያ ህዳሴ ግድብ ግንባታ በአሁኑ ወቅት ያለበትን ወቅታዊ ሁኔታ በተመለከተ ለሚኒስቴሩ ሰራተኞች ሰፊ ማብራሪያ ሰጥተዋል። የሚኒስቴር ሰራተኞች ለታላቁ ህዳሴ ግድብ ግንባታ የጀመሩትን አስተዋጽኦ በመቀጠል በአንድ ዓመት ተከፍሎ የሚያልቅ የአንድ ወር ደመወዛቸውን ቦንድ ለመግዛት በድጋሚ ቃል ገብተዋል። ሠራተኞቹ ባለፈው አመት ቃል ለገቡት የቦንድ ግዥ ማረጋገጫ ሰርተፊኬትም ከሚኒስቴሩ ተቀብለዋል፡፡ በበዓሉ ላይ በሰንደቅ ዓላማ ህጋዊ ማእቀፎች ዙሪያ ጽሁፍ ቀርቦ ውይይት ተካሂዳል። በሰራተኞች መካከልም የጥያቄና መልስ ውድድርና የግጥም ዝግጅት መካሄዱን ኢዜአ ዘግቧል።
