US warns of possible terror attack in Ethiopia

Source  www.sudantribune.com By Tesfa-Alem Tekle June 1, 2014 (ADDIS ABABA) - The US Embassy in Addis Ababa urged American citizens residing or traveling to Ethiopia to exercise caution over a possible attack by a Somali terrorist group. The safety advisory the embassy said was issued due to threat from Al-Shabaab against Ethiopia and western interests in Ethiopia. Citing to multiple and ongoing credible threats, the US embassy urged its citizens to take the highest precautions to maintain their personal safety and security. “The Embassy continues to receive credible threat reports of Al-Shabaab’s intent and capability to attack Ethiopia and western interests in Ethiopia” it said in a statement  Sudan Tribune received on Sunday. The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) on Friday called on authorities in Ethiopia to release a journalist being held without charge following a spate of similar arrests in recent weeks. የቡና ፈቃድ ኖሯቸው ኤክስፖርት አድርገው የማያውቁ 37 ነጋዴዎች ፈቃድ ተሰረዘ

- ለኤክስፖርት የተዘጋጀ ቡና ላይ የኮንትሮባንድ ንግድ ደርቷል በቡና ንግድ ተሳታፊ ሳይሆኑ የቡና ፈቃድ አውጥተው ለዓመታት የተቀመጡና ምናልባትም አጭበርባሪዎች ሊሆኑ ይችላሉ የተባሉ 37 ግለሰቦችን ፈቃድ መሰረዙን የንግድ ሚኒስትሩ አስታወቁ፡፡ የንግድ ሚኒስትሩ አቶ ከበደ ጫኔ የአሥር ወራት የሥራ አፈጻጸም ሪፖርታቸውን ለሕዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር ቤት ባለፈው ሳምንት ሲያቀርቡ፣ የቡና ንግድ መቀዝቀዙንና ኮንትሮባንድ መስፋፋቱን፣ እንዲሁም ከቡና ጋር የተያያዙ ችግሮችን ለመፍታት የንግድ ሚኒስቴር ምን እያደረገ እንደሆነ ተጠይቀዋል፡፡ የቡና ጉዳይ ድሮ በሚኒስቴር ደረጃ ይመራ ከነበረበት ወርዶ በአንድ ተቋም ውስጥ መመሸቁ እንደሚያሳስባቸው የተናገሩት ሚኒስትሩ፣ ከኮንትሮባንድ መስፋፋት በተጨማሪ የቡና ንግድ ሳይኖራቸው የቡና ፈቃድ ያወጡ መኖራቸውን አስረድተዋል፡፡ በቡና ንግድ ካልተሰማሩ ፈቃዱን ለምን እንደሚፈልጉት መገመት እንደሚቻል የተናገሩት ሚኒስትሩ፣ ዋነኛው መንግሥት ለቡና ንግድ የሚሰጠውን ትኩረትና ጥቅማ ጥቅም ለመቀራመት ሊሆን እንደሚችል ገልጸዋል፡፡ በቡና ንግድ ዘርፍ ለሚሰማሩ መንግሥት ቅድሚያ የባንክ ብድርና የውጭ ምንዛሪ እንዲያገኙ ስለሚያደረግ፣ እነዚህ በቡና ንግድ ላይ ለመሰማራት ፈቃድ ያወጡ ነገር ግን ኤክስፖርት አድርገው የማያውቁ ነጋዴዎች ይህንን ጥቅም ለመመዝበር አቅደው ሊሆን ይችላል ብለዋል፡፡ ‹‹እንዲህ ዓይነት የማጭበርበር ሥራ የሚሠሩ የቡና ንግድ ፈቃድ ይዘው የተቀመጡ ነጋዴዎች ፈቃድ ተሰርዟል፤›› ብለዋል፡፡ እነዚህ ነጋዴዎች የሚያገኙትን ብድር ተጠቅመው አራጣ የማበደር ተግባር ውስጥ  ተሰማርተው ሊሆኑ ይችላል የሚሉት አቶ ከበደ፣ የነጋዴዎቹን ማንነት ከመግለጽና ፈቃዳቸውን ከመሰረዝ ባለፈ የሚወሰድ ዕርምጃ ስለመኖሩ አልተናገሩ

Aleta Land Group aims at opening a trans-border coffee shop in Asia

It has finalized a partnership with Japanese firm to import green tea Aleta Land Coffee, a local coffee firm announced that it would a open trans-border coffee shop in Asia starting next year. Celebrating the 10th anniversary and inauguration of three factories in the town, Habetamu Silla, general manager of Aleta Land Group told The Reporter that establishing a trans-border coffee shop in Asia and worldwide is being undertaken along with importing green tea seedlings from Japan to send back in the form of soft drinks.
