The bamboo thatched tukul dwellings are built in the style of a traditional Sidama village. The tukuls are built entirely by hand, except the floors, and took two years to construct. The high ceilings, beautifully appointed furnishings and modern amenities make the bungalow a home away from home, except without television. The sounds of nature — flowing streams, serenading crickets and the faint howl of hyenas — create a distinctive and relaxing ambiance. The grounds were lush and immaculately landscaped.  The entire people of this districts as others vehemently rejected Meles's cadres plan of uprooting Sidama people from their capital city since day one. They insisted to continue with their peaceful and non-violent resistance to date and vowed not to stop until they secure their constitutional right to regional self administration. Such a united action of the Sidama people became serious head ache to the brutal regime's cadres who decided to go and speak to the Sidama people under the pretext of talking to the Development workers (ye limat serategnch sibseba). The identity of the regional cadres who went in attempt of lecturing the Sidama people in Malga district yet to be identified. The reporter say that it won't be an easy one for the pariahs as the Sidama people had consolidated their grounds. The Sidama people shown their indefatigability when they peacefully pushed with their demand for their immediate release. They told the culprits that they don’t leave police station unless they release the arrested Sidamas and emphasized that the question is a regional self-administration about which all Sidama people are unanimously demanding. Before the release of the arrestees, the Sidamas threatened to take united actions if the polices don’t release their people. As a result of their untied efforts the Sidamas reclaimed their sons before midnight. However, the happiness only short lived as on the 18th of July

የውስጥ ኣዋቅ ምንጮች ለወራንቻ ኢንፎርሜሽን ኔትወርክ እንደተነገሩት፤ ባለፈው ሳምንት መገባዳጃ ላይ በክልሉ ፕሬዚዳንት ሰብሳቢነት በበኣላቱ ኣከባበር ዙሪያ ላይ በመከረው ዝግ ስብሰባ የተለያዩ ሃሳቦች ተንጸባርቀዋል። የዞኑ ኣስተዳዳሪን እና የከተማዋ ከንቲባ በተሳተፉበት በዚህ ስብሰባ ላይ የክልሉ ፕሬዚዳንት ሁለቱም የሲዳማ ህዝብ በኣላት ከሃዋሳ ከተማ ውጪ በወረዳዎች እንዲከበሩ የሚል ሀሳብ ያነሱ ሲሆን፤ ለዚህም የጸጥታ ጉዳይን እንደምክንያትነት ኣንስተዋል። በኣላቱ በሃዋሳ ከተማ ውስጥ እንዳይከበሩ ማድረግ በቅርቡ ከከተማዋ ኣስተዳደር ጋር በተያያዘ ተነስቶ ለነበረው ህዝባዊ ንቅናቄ መባባስ ምክንያት ይሆናል በሚል ኣንዳንድ የስብሰባው ተሳታፊዎች የፕሬዚዳንቱን ሀሳብ የተቃዎሙ ሲሆን፤እንደኣማራጭም የከተማዋን ጸጥታ ሁኔታ ኣጠናክረው በኣላቱ ሃዋሳ እንዲከበሩ መደረግ ኣለበት ብለዋል። ኣንዳንድ የሲዳማ የፖለቲካ ተንታኞች እንደሚሉት ከሆነ በሲዳማ ህዝብ ዘንድ በደማቅ ሁኔታ የሚከበሩትን እነዚህን በኣላት ከሃዋሳ ከተማ እንዳይከበሩ መከልከልም ሆነ መፍቀድ ለህዝባዊው ንቅናቄ የራሳቸው የሆነ ኣዎንታዊ ገጽታ ኣላቸው። በኣላቱ ከሃዋሳ ከተማ እንዲከበሩ ከተፈቀደ በኣላቱን ለማክበር የሚሰባሰበው ህዝብ ከሃዋሳ ከተማ ኣስተዳደር ጋር በተያያዘ ያላቸውን ቅሬታ ለመግለጽ ኣጋጣሚ የሚፈጥር ሲሆን፤ መከልከሉ ደግሞ መንግስት ለህዝባዊ ጥያቄዎች ምላሽ ለመስጠት ፍቃደኛ ኣለመሆኑ እንድታወቅ ያስችላል ብለዋል።

ስማቸው እንዲገለጽ ያልፈለጉ ነዋሪዎችና ሰራተኞች ለወራንቻ ኢንፎርሜሽን ኔትዎርክ እንደተናገሩት፤ የከተማው ኣስተዳደር ምክትል ከንትባና ንግድና ኢንዱስትሪ መምሪያ የስራ መደብን ጨምሮ በማዘጋጃ እና በስምንቱም ክፍለ ከተማዎች ቢያንስ ኣራት ኣራት የኣመራር የስራ መደቦች ላላፉት ሰባት እና ስምንት ወራት ሰው ኣልተመደበባቸውም። የእነዚህ  መደቦች የእለትተእለት ስራዎች በተወከሉ ሰዎች በመከሄድ ላይ ያሉ ሲሆን፤ ሰው ካልተመደበባቸው መደቦች መካከል የከተማዋ የመንግስት ኮሚኒኬሽን፤ የማዘጋጃ ቤቱ ምክትል ኣስተዳዳር መደብ፤ ግቢይትና ህብረት ስራ መምሪያ እና የፍትህ መምሪያ ይገኙበታል። በየስራ መደቦቹ ላይ ከዚህ በፊት ተመድበው ይሰሩ የነበሩ ግለሰቦች በተለያዩ ምክንያቶች ስራ የለቀቁ ወይም እንዲለቁ የተደረጉ መሆኑ ሲገለጽ፤ መደቦቹ ለረዥም ጊዚያት ክፍት መሆናቸው በከተማዋ ለሚካሄዱ የልማት ስራዎች ኣፈጻጸም ላይ ችግር መፈጠራቸው ተገልጿል። እንደኣንዳንድ የከተማዋ ነዋሪዎች ኣስተያየት ከሆነ መንግስት የከተማዋን ኣስተዳደር ከሲዳማ እጅ ለማውጣት ከተማዋን ያስተዳድሩ በነበሩ የብሄሩ ተወላጆች ላይ የተለዩ ስነ ምግባራቸውን የሚያወርዱ ገጽታዎችን እየቀባ ያለ ምንም ተጨባጭ  ሲያስር ቆይቷል። ይህ ኣይነቱ የመንግስት ድርጊት የሲዳማ ኣመራሮች የማስተዳደር ኣቅም የላቸውም፤ በክራይ ስብሳብነት የተዘፈቁ ናቸው የምል ግንዛቤ በከተማው ነዋሪ ዘንድ ለማስያዝና ኣመራሩን በሌላ ኣመራር ለመተካት የሚያደርጉትን እንቅስቃሴ በህዝቡ ዘንድ ተቀባይነት እንዲያገኝ ለማድረግ የታለመ  ሳይሆን ኣይቀርም ተብለዋል። ለዚህም ማሳያነት በቁልፍ የኣመራር መደቦች ላይ ከነበሩ ግለሰቦች መካከል መሬት በመቸብቸብ እና በሌሎች ወንጀሎች ተወንጅለው ላለፉት ሰባት እና ስምንት ወራት ታስረው
