Prices for unwashed arabica coffee from  Ethiopia  fell as much as to 6.9 percent last week on the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange. Volumes of both washed and unwashed coffee traded rose to 2,529 metric tons in the week ending Dec. 9 from 2,295 tons a week earlier, according to e-mailed statement from the Addis Ababa-based exchange on Dec. 9. The following are prices for the most heavily traded types of arabica in dollars per pound on the last day they were exchanged in the week. Week-on-week data may reflect changes in exchange rates. Volumes are in metric tons and the percentage change is measured from the previous week’s closing price. ከኅዳር 1 ቀን 2004 ዓ.ም. ጀምሮ ተግባራዊ እንዲደረግ በንግድ ሚኒስቴር የወጣው መመርያ፣ ቡና በብትን በኮንቴይነር እንዲላክ የሚያሳስብ ነው፡፡ ቡናው በብትን መላኩ የሚያመጣው ጠቀሜታ ቢኖርም አነስተኛ ላኪዎችን፣ የቡና ደረጃዎችንና በይበልጥ ደግሞ የውጭ አገር የቡና ገዢዎችን ነባራዊ ሁኔታና ፍላጎት ከግምት ያላስገባ መሆኑን በመጥቀስ ነጋዴዎች ተችተውታል፡፡ አንዳንዶችም በአጠቃላይ የአገሪቱ የቡና ኤክስፖርት ላይ አሉታዊ ተፅዕኖ የሚያሳርፍ መሆኑን በመግለጽ መመርያው በቶሎ እንዲሻሻል ጠይቀዋል፡፡ ነጋዴዎች ከዚህ ቀደም በጆንያ እየሞሉ በኮንቴነር የሚልኩበት አሠራርን በብትን ኮንቴይነሩ ውስጥ በሚዘጋጅ የብትን ቡና መሙያ ከረጢት ተዘጋጅቶለት እንዲላክ በመመርያ መወሰኑ አንዳንድ ነጋዴዎችን አስደንግጧል፡፡ አንዳንዶችም በጆንያ የላኩት ቡና ከጂቡቲ ወደብ ተመላሽ እንደተደረገባቸው ለሪፖርተር የደረሱ ጥቆማዎች ያመለክታሉ፡፡ የቡና ጥራት መጓደል እንደ ጃፓን ያለውን ሰፊ ገበያ ካሳጣ በኋላ መንግሥት የተለያዩ ዕርምጃዎችን እየወሰደ ቆይቶ፣ ለጥራት ብቻ ሳይሆን ለቡና ደኅንነትና ለወጪ ቁጠባ ተገቢ ነው ያለውን የቡና አላላክ ዘዴን በመመርያ ለውጧል፡፡ ቡና በብትን ቢላክ ሊያስገኝ የሚችለውን ኢኮኖሚያዊ ጠቀሜታ በመተንተን የብትን ቡና አላላክን የሚያቀነቅኑት አቶ ግርማ ቡታ ናቸው፡፡ በአካካስ ሎጂስቲክስ ኩባንያ የኤክስፖርትና የመርከብ አገልግሎት ኃላፊ የሆኑት አቶ ግርማ፣ ምንም እንኳ በብትን ቡናን መላኩ በሌላው ዓለም የተለመደና ኢትዮጵያ እጅግ ኋላ የቀረችበት ቢሆንም፣ ንግድ ሚኒስቴር የሚመለከታቸውን ባለድርሻ አካላት ሳያወያይ መመርያውን ማውጣቱ በተለይ በጆንያ መላክ ያለባቸውን ነጋዴዎች እንደሚጐዳቸው አስረድተዋል፡፡ በብትን መላክ ማለት በኮንቴይነር ውስጥ በሚዘጋጅ ትልቅ

አዋሳ, ህዳር 28 ቀን 2004 (ሃዋሳ) - በሀዋሳ ከተማ የሚገኘው ቢ ጂ አይ ቢራ ፋብሪካ በ12 ሚሊዮን ብር ወጪ ያስገነባው የፍሳሽ ቆሻሻ ማጣሪያ መሣሪያ አገልግሎት መስጠት መጀመሩን አስታወቀ፡፡ የፋብሪካው ኮርፖሬት ተቆጣጣሪ አቶ በቀለ ሰሙ ለኢትዮጵያ ዜና አገልግሎት እንደገለጹት ተከላው ተጠናቆ አገልግሎት መስጠት የጀመረው መሣሪያ ፋብሪካው ለቢራ ጠመቃ አገልግሎትና ለጠርሙሰ አጠባ የሚጠቀምበትን ፍሳሽ ከኬሚካል ነጻ በማድረግ በአካባቢ ላይ የሚደርሰውን ብክለት ለመከላከል ያስችላል፡፡ በመሳሪያው አማካይነት ተጣርቶ የሚወጣውን ውሃ በአካባቢው የሚገኙ ነዋሪዎች ለመስኖ አገልግሎት መጠቀም እንደሚችሉ ተናግረዋል። ፋብሪካው የተለያዩ ማህበራዊ አገልግሎት መስጫ ተቋማትን በመገንባት በአካባቢው የሚገኙ ነዋሪዎችን ተጠቃሚ ለማድረግ የሚያስችሉ ተግባራት እያከናወነ መሆኑን ገልፀዋል፡፡ በአንድ ቢሊዮን ብር ካፒታል ተገንብቶ ባለፈው ግንቦት ወር የሙከራ ስራ የጀመረው ቢ ጂ አይ ቢራ ፋብሪካ በአሁኑ ወቅት በቀን 363 ሺህ 600 ጠርሙስ ቢራ በማምረት ላይ የሚገኝ መሆኑን ገልፀው ለ273 ሰዎች የስራ እድል መፍጠሩንም አስታውቀዋል፡፡ ፋብሪካው በሙሉ አቅሙ ማምረት ሲጀምርም የማምረት አቅሙ በእጥፍ እንደሚጨምር አቶ በቀለ ተናግረዋል፡፡ የደቡብ ክልል ንግድ ኢንደስትሪና ከተማ ልማት ቢሮ የመንግስት ኮሚኒኬሽን ጉዳዮች የስራ ሂደት ባለቤት አቶ አበበ ደንጋሞ በበኩላቸው የፍሳሽ ቆሻሻ በአካባቢ ላይ የሚያደርሰውን ብክለት ለመከላከል ፋብሪካው ያከናወነው ተግባር ለሌሎች ፋብሪካዎች አርአያ ሊሆን እንደሚችል አስታውቀዋል፡፡

Kabu Coffee has announced plans to market export standard Ethiopian coffee. The company has expanded its investment capital to 10 million birr for this venture. Kabu is marketing high quality roasted coffee to international and domestic customers according to Aman Adinew company advisor. The company aimed to venture out in this direction from the outset he said. Kabu strives to carefully control the quality of its ingredients to ensure the quality service promised by its slogan ‘Coffee Redefined’ said Aman. Adding value to Ethiopia’s number one export, coffee, is sure to make the sector more profitable explains Aman. Ethiopia needs to become competitive in the international roasted coffee market dominated by Europeans he said.  Kabu is partnering with a German firm to introduce roasted and instant coffee into the national market. Debub Global Bank Share Company is to enter the Ethiopian banking sector in 2012. The Bank has raised 286 million birr in subscribed capital and 150 million in paid up capital through the sale of shares. 5481 shares have been presented to the National Bank pending signature and verification by shareholders according to an official at the Bank. Debub Global Bank expects to concentrate its activities in the South of Ethiopia where there exists untapped potential for investment said the official. The shareholders of the bank understand the potentials in the South and are interested in engaging in investment and trade in the area explained the official. The General Assembly of the bank has presented a list of people who could potentially serve on its board of directors and has waited six months, after meeting all requirements, to begin operations explained the official.
