Hawassa constructing 184 mln. Birr worth safe water project

Hawassa March 14/2013 More than 184 million Birr worth safe water project is being carried out in Hawassa Town, South Ethiopia Peoples' State, the town administration water and sewerage department said Department Head, Letta Yetamo told ENA that upon going fully operational within a year, the project will benefit more than 450,000 residents. He said the budget for construction of the project is secured from the regional government, the town administration, international donor organizations and NGOs. Safe water service coverage will grow to 100 per cent from the present 76 per cent when the project goes operational.
