አዲስ አበባ፣ ጥር 21፣ 2007 (ኤፍ.ቢ.ሲ) የኢትዮጵያ ብሄራዊ ምርጫ ቦርድ ጽህፈት ቤት በአመራር ውዝግብ ውስጥ በነበሩት አንድነት ለፍትህ እና ለዴሞክራሲ ፓርቲና በመላው ኢትዮጵያ አንድነት ድርጅት (መኢአድ) ዙሪያ ውሳኔ አሳለፈ። አንድነትን በተመለከተ አቶ ትዕግስቱ አወሎ የፓርቲው ህጋዊ ሊቀመንበር ናቸው ብሏል። በመኢአድ በኩል ለአቶ አበባው መሃሪ የፓርቲው የህጋዊ ፕሬዚዳንትነት ዕውቅናም ሰጥቷል። አንድነትም ሆነ መኢአድ ቦርዱ ዕውቅና በሰጣቸው መሪዎች እየተመሩ በምርጫው መሳተፍ እንደሚችሉም ነው የተወሰነው። መግለጫውን የሰጡት የኢትዮጵያ ብሄራዊ ምርጫ ቦርድ ዋና ፀሃፊ አቶ ነጋ ዱፌሳ ቦርዱ ለሁለት የተከፈሉትን የሁለቱንም ፓርቲዎች አመራር ችግራቸውን ለመፍታት የተሰጣቸውን ጊዜ ለመጠቀም ያከናወኗቸውን ተግባራት በጥልቀት መመርመሩንም ተናግረዋል። ቀደም ሲል የብሄራዊ ምርጫ ቦርድ አንድነትና መኢአድ በውስጣቸው የተከሰተውን ችግር ፈትተው እንዲመጡ የ14 ቀናት ጊዜ ሰጥቶ የነበር ሲሆን፥ ቦርዱ የጊዜውን መጠናቀቅ ተከትሎ በቀጣዮቹ ሁለት ቀናት የመጨረሻ ውሳኔ ለማሳለፍ በዛሬው ዕለት ቀጠሮ መያዙ ይታወሳል። በአቶ በላይ ፈቃዱ የሚመራው አንድነት የምወያየውም ሆነ የማካሂደው ጠቅላላ ጉባኤ የለም በማለት ባለፈው አርብ በሰጠው መግለጫ ሲያስታወቅ፣ በአቶ ትዕግስቱ አወሉ የሚመራው የአንድነት ቡድን ደግሞ ቅዳሜ እለት ባካሄደው ጉባኤ ፕሬዝዳንትና ምክትል ፕሬዝዳንቱን ጨምሮ ሌሎች አመራሮቹን መምረጡም አይዘነጋም።

The SOS Village Hawassa built a new kindergarten, open to the surrounding community. The creation of the preschool educational institution contributes to the efforts of the country to develop a quality education system. The former SOS Kindergarten Hawassa was housed in dilapidated classrooms in the local primary school.  In addition, equipment and playgrounds were used primarily by students of primary school. The four-year initiative dubbed ‘SeFaMaCo,’ short for ‘Seed-Farmer-Markets Consumer,’ funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, will be implemented by the Farm Concern International (FCI) which also works in three countries. A PROGRAMME aiming to assist banana and sweet potato growers in Tanzania, Uganda and Ethiopia in securing reliable markets was launched here, targeting to benefit nearly 100,000 families in Tanzania alone. Speaking at the official launch of the project, the SeFaMaCo programme manager, Mr Winston Mwombeki, said that the project is geared to boost production of the two crops in the targeted areas, adding that the programme will benefit a total of 94,000 households or about 500,000 people between them. According to Mwombeki, the targeted regions for sweet potatoes under SeFaMaCo include Kagera, Mwanza, Morogoro and Zanzibar, while in Uganda the project will be implemented in Kamuli, Soroti, Gulu and Lira. A government contractor that has received more than $2.5 billion for humanitarian and infrastructure work in Iraq and Afghanistan has been suspended from receiving federal funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) due to “serious misconduct.” The USAID announced the suspension on Monday, less than a week after awarding a $10.5 million contract to International Relief and Development (IRD), a nonprofit based in Arlington, Virginia, for infrastructure and sanitation projects in Afghanistan. “Today, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) suspended the contractor International Relief and Development (IRD) from receiving U.S. Government awards,” the  statement  read. “The Agency’s review revealed serious misconduct in IRD’s performance, management, internal controls and present responsibility.” “USAID has a zero tolerance policy for mismanagement of American taxpayer funds and will take every measure at our disposal to recover these fund

የተጨማሪ እሴትና የገቢ ግብር ሕጐች ጥናትን መሠረት ያደረገ ማሻሻያ ሳይደረግባቸው ከአሥር ዓመታት በላይ ሥራ ላይ መዋላቸው፣ የታክስ መርህን የሚፃረር መሆኑ በጥናት ተመለከተ፡፡ ፎረም ፎር ሶቫል ስተዲስ (FSS) ጥር 15 ቀን 2007 ዓ.ም. ባዘጋጀው መድረክ ላይ ‹‹የታክስ ሕጐችና ፖሊሲዎች በኢትዮጵያ›› በሚል ርዕስ ጥናታቸውን ያቀረቡት በአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የፋይናንስና የአካውንቲንግ ትምህርት ክፍል መምህር ዶ/ር ወለላ አቤሆዴ እንዳብራሩት፣ በአገር ውስጥና በዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃ በርካታ ለውጦች የተስተዋሉ ቢሆንም፣ እ.ኤ.አ. በ2002 ሥራ ላይ የዋሉት እነዚህ የግብር ዓይነቶች ይህ ነው የሚባል ለውጥ ሳይደረግባቸው ለአሥራ ሦስት ዓመት መዝለቃቸው ችግር ነው፡፡  ‹‹ታክስ በባህሪው ለውጦች ከሥር ከሥር እየታዩ ሁኔታዎች እንዲጣጣሙ የሚጠይቅ ነው፡፡ ነገር ግን ሕጐቹ ብዙ ለውጥ ሳይደረግባቸው በሥራ ላይ ይገኛሉ፤›› ብለዋል የጥናቱ አቅራቢ፡፡  በእነዚህ የታክስ ሕጐች ላይ ለውጥ ሳይደረግ እስካሁን ሥራ ላይ መዋላቸው የፈጠረውን ተፅዕኖ የሚያመለክተው ጥናቱ፣ የገቢ ግብር ሕግን በመጥቀስ በሕጉ መሠረት የሠራተኛ ደመወዝ የመጀመሪያው 150 ብር ከታክስ ነፃ ቢሆንም በዛሬ ግሽበት የዚህ ገንዘብ መጠን ከግብር ነፃ መሆን ትርጉም የሚሰጥ እንዳልሆነ ያስረዳሉ፡፡ ይህ ከድህነት ወለል አንፃር ቢታይም ትርጉም የሌለው መሆኑን፣ የቢዝነሶች ከግብር ነፃ የሚሆንበት የመጀመሪያው 1,800 ብርም በተመሳሳይ ትርጉም አልባ አሠራር መሆኑን ጥናቱ ይጠቁማል፡፡ በተመሳሳይ የገቢ ግብር የምጣኔ ወሰኖች ቢታዩ፣ ከፍተኛው የገቢ ግብር መጣል የሚጀምርበት 5,000 ብር አቅሙ የተሸረሸረ በመሆኑ የታክስ መጠኑን ማሻሻል የግድ እንደሆነ ጥናት አቅራቢዋ ገልጸዋል፡፡ የድርጅቶች ደረጃ

This month we are featuring our natural processed coffee from the Sidama region of Ethiopia. This isn’t one of our newest offerings. It’s certainly not unique to Heine Brothers’.  It’s not even a “seasonal”; we are usually able to stock this coffee year round.  But these facts and the general ubiquity of the name Sidama (aka Sidamo) among specialty coffee roasters make this coffee no less remarkable. In fact, among Heine Brothers’ offerings, Ethiopia Sidama is always atop my list of favorites.  It speaks volumes to the expertise and ingenuity of the farmers (nearly 80,000 of them) organized under the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU) that they are so well known in the coffee world, and produce such a unique and interesting cup profile season after season. የኢትዮጵያ እግር ኳስ ሕጋዊ ሰውነት አግኝቶ መንቀሳቀስ ከጀመረ ከስድስት አሠርታት በላይ እንዳስቆጠረ ማስረጃዎች ያመለክታሉ፡፡ በዚህ ታሪካዊ ጉዞው ፌዴሬሽኑም ሆነ ክለቦች ከመነሻው እንደሌሎቹ አገሮች ወጥ የሆነ አደረጃጀት ኖሯቸው ሊቀጥሉ ባለመቻላቸው ዛሬም በተለያዩ የአሠራር ክፍተቶች እሰጣ ገባ ውስጥ ይገኛሉ፡፡ የዓለም አቀፉ እግር ኳስ ማኅበር (ፊፋ)፣ የአገሪቱ ክለቦች በፊፋ የክለብ አደረጃጀትና የተጨዋቾች የዝውውር መርሕ እንዲተዳደሩ የተለያዩ ሥልጠናዎችን ሲሰጥ መቆየቱ እንደማሳያ ሊወሰድ እንደሚገባውም የሚናገሩ አሉ፡፡  የኢትዮጵያ እግር ኳስ ፌዴሬሽንና ክለቦች በአገሪቱ የሚፈፀመው የእግር ኳስ ተጨዋቾች ደረጃና ዝውውር በሕግና በሥርዓት እንዲመራ በፊፋ ዝቅተኛውን የተጨዋቾች ደረጃና ዝውውር መስፈርት ያሟላ እንዲሆን፣ በተጨማሪም አሠራሩ በሕጋዊ ወኪል እንዲመራና ሒደቱም ተጨዋቾችን፣ ክለቦችንና መንግሥትን ተጠቃሚ በማድረግ ለአገሪቱ የእግር ኳስ ዕድገት መፋጠን የራሱን አወንታዊ ሚና ይጫወታል በሚል የተለያዩ አንቀፆችን የያዘ የተጨዋቾች ደረጃና የዝውውር መመሪያ ረቂቅ ሰነድ ለውይይት አቅርበዋል፡፡ ረቂቅ ሰነዱ ከጥር 25 ቀን 2007 ዓ.ም. በኋላ ሕጋዊ መመሪያ ሆኖ በፌዴሬሽኑ ሥራ አስፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ እንደሚፀድቅና እስከዚያ ግን ክለቦች በረቂቅ ሰነዱ በተካተቱ ነጥቦች ውስጥ አለን የሚሉትን ሐሳብ እንዲያንሸራሽሩ ጥር 12 ቀን 2007 ዓ.ም. ፌዴሬሽኑና ክለቦች በካፒታል ሆቴል ባደረጉት የመጀመሪያ የውይይት መድረክ ከስምምነት ደርሰዋል፡፡ ሆኖም ግን መመሪያው ደንብ ሆኖ ሥራ ላይ ከመዋሉ በፊት ረቂቅ ሰነዱ ለክለቦች ቀደም ብሎ እንዲደርስ ተደርጎ በተለይ የክለብ አስተዳዳሪዎችና ባለቤቶች ጉዳዩን በሰከነና በጥልቀት እንዲመክሩበት መደረግ ነበረበት በሚል አንዳ

Ethiopia has averaged a 10.7% economic growth rate over the last 10 years, more than double the annual average of countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, which was around 5.2%.
