New A crowd of people chanted slogans against visiting Ethiopian regional governor Shiferaw Shigute Tuesday. He has been cited for numerous acts of corruption by his country's own auditor. Shigute was at the University of Saskatchewan to discuss an agricultural partnership with the university. The University of Saskatchewan should not be hosting an Ethiopian politician implicated in corruption scandals and the forcible removal of tens of thousands of peasant farmers from their homes, human rights groups say.
