Hackers attack US reporters

More than a year after researchers revealed an electronic eavesdropping campaign aimed at DC-area journalists, the hackers are at it again. Internet watchdog group Citizen Lab says hackers who attacked a US employee of Ethiopian Satellite Television in 2013 have recently launched a new round of attacks using upgraded espionage software. Citizen Lab, which is based at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs, says the hackers used three booby-trapped emails sent out in November and December. The broadcaster's executive director, Neamin Zeleke - one of those targeted by the malicious messages - says it didn't take a genius to figure out the same actors were at work. "They didn't even bother to change the email address," he said. Zeleke believes Ethiopia's authoritarian government - one of Africa's top jailers of journalists - is behind the hackers. Rising Hawassa set to attract more investors

   Hawassa has grown explosively in recent years. After 30 years of its establishment, Hawassa is serving as the capital of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples State (SNNPS) since 1991. The 57 years old town consists of eight sub-cities and 32 kebelles. The total population of the town is estimated to be 350,000.
