አዲስ አበባ፣ ጥር 21፣ 2007 (ኤፍ.ቢ.ሲ) የኢትዮጵያ ብሄራዊ ምርጫ ቦርድ ጽህፈት ቤት በአመራር ውዝግብ ውስጥ በነበሩት አንድነት ለፍትህ እና ለዴሞክራሲ ፓርቲና በመላው ኢትዮጵያ አንድነት ድርጅት (መኢአድ) ዙሪያ ውሳኔ አሳለፈ። አንድነትን በተመለከተ አቶ ትዕግስቱ አወሎ የፓርቲው ህጋዊ ሊቀመንበር ናቸው ብሏል። በመኢአድ በኩል ለአቶ አበባው መሃሪ የፓርቲው የህጋዊ ፕሬዚዳንትነት ዕውቅናም ሰጥቷል። አንድነትም ሆነ መኢአድ ቦርዱ ዕውቅና በሰጣቸው መሪዎች እየተመሩ በምርጫው መሳተፍ እንደሚችሉም ነው የተወሰነው። መግለጫውን የሰጡት የኢትዮጵያ ብሄራዊ ምርጫ ቦርድ ዋና ፀሃፊ አቶ ነጋ ዱፌሳ ቦርዱ ለሁለት የተከፈሉትን የሁለቱንም ፓርቲዎች አመራር ችግራቸውን ለመፍታት የተሰጣቸውን ጊዜ ለመጠቀም ያከናወኗቸውን ተግባራት በጥልቀት መመርመሩንም ተናግረዋል። ቀደም ሲል የብሄራዊ ምርጫ ቦርድ አንድነትና መኢአድ በውስጣቸው የተከሰተውን ችግር ፈትተው እንዲመጡ የ14 ቀናት ጊዜ ሰጥቶ የነበር ሲሆን፥ ቦርዱ የጊዜውን መጠናቀቅ ተከትሎ በቀጣዮቹ ሁለት ቀናት የመጨረሻ ውሳኔ ለማሳለፍ በዛሬው ዕለት ቀጠሮ መያዙ ይታወሳል። በአቶ በላይ ፈቃዱ የሚመራው አንድነት የምወያየውም ሆነ የማካሂደው ጠቅላላ ጉባኤ የለም በማለት ባለፈው አርብ በሰጠው መግለጫ ሲያስታወቅ፣ በአቶ ትዕግስቱ አወሉ የሚመራው የአንድነት ቡድን ደግሞ ቅዳሜ እለት ባካሄደው ጉባኤ ፕሬዝዳንትና ምክትል ፕሬዝዳንቱን ጨምሮ ሌሎች አመራሮቹን መምረጡም አይዘነጋም።

The SOS Village Hawassa built a new kindergarten, open to the surrounding community. The creation of the preschool educational institution contributes to the efforts of the country to develop a quality education system. The former SOS Kindergarten Hawassa was housed in dilapidated classrooms in the local primary school.  In addition, equipment and playgrounds were used primarily by students of primary school. The four-year initiative dubbed ‘SeFaMaCo,’ short for ‘Seed-Farmer-Markets Consumer,’ funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, will be implemented by the Farm Concern International (FCI) which also works in three countries. A PROGRAMME aiming to assist banana and sweet potato growers in Tanzania, Uganda and Ethiopia in securing reliable markets was launched here, targeting to benefit nearly 100,000 families in Tanzania alone. Speaking at the official launch of the project, the SeFaMaCo programme manager, Mr Winston Mwombeki, said that the project is geared to boost production of the two crops in the targeted areas, adding that the programme will benefit a total of 94,000 households or about 500,000 people between them. According to Mwombeki, the targeted regions for sweet potatoes under SeFaMaCo include Kagera, Mwanza, Morogoro and Zanzibar, while in Uganda the project will be implemented in Kamuli, Soroti, Gulu and Lira.
