Cecafa secretary Musonye reveals to Goal that Kagame Cup tournament, that features clubs from the region, will be held in Kigali, Rwanda from August This year’s Council of East and Central Africa Football Association (Cecafa) Senior Challenge Cup will be staged in Ethiopia from November. Cecafa secretary Nicholas Musonye has revealed to Goal that Kagame Cup tournament, that features clubs from the region, will be held in Rwanda from August, instead of June as is normally the case. Kenya’s Harambee Stars are Senior Challenge Cup champions after beating Sudan 2-0 in the final of last year's edition played at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi. Musonye said they had settled for Rwanda as Kagame Cup hosts because the tournament will concide with country's celebrations to mark 20 years since genocide.
