The SLM accuses the regional and Sidama EPRDF cadres of continued intimidation, harassment and persecution of its representatives and supporters during the period leading up to the elections.  The SLM members in all 19 districts of the Sidama administration who were nominated to contest in the stated elections have often been arrested and imprisoned for prolonged period of time to intimidate them and deter them from contesting the elections. Awassa April 14/2013 Electorates in Hawassa, Aleta Wondo and Dilla Towns as well as Bench Majji, and Wolaita Zones in South Ethiopia Peoples' State are casting votes for the elections, according to ENA's reporters stationed in the stated areas. Accordingly, voters in Hawassa Town said that the election process is transparent, free, fair and credible. They said that they cast votes for candidates, who will serve the public. Similarly, the election process is underway in peaceful manner at 15 polling stations in Aleta Wondo Town, according to the town election coordination office coordinator Mekuria Dima. Eligible voters in Dilla Town are also casting votes at 29 polling stations in peaceful and democratic manner. Some 19,720 voters are registered to cast votes in the elections, according to Head of Gedeo Zone Election Coordination Office, Kebede Tizazu. I was very depressed for many weeks. When I was young in Awasa me and my friends would make the trophy for our soccer championships.
