Qale is a game of precision that requires excellent hand-eye coordination while dealing with multiple variables. Qale has very simple rules with minor regional variations. However, the number one rule is to play safe and have fun. The materials required to play qale include: 1) A hoop (about 8-10 inch in diameter) made of wooden sticks and fibres from Enset plant or other plants, and 2) Siiqqo (‘javelin’)—this is a wooden stick with sharpened tips. Sometimes the siiqqo has wooden shaft and a metal tip. However, wooden siiqqo with a sharpened tip is the most common material used. There are reports of trouble within the Southern Ethiopia Peoples' Democratic Movement (SEPDM), the party of the newly installed Prime Minister, Hailemariam Desalegn. According to the source, Sidama members of the party are pushing hard to inaugurate a new Sidama state with its capital in Hawasa. The Sidama is the largest group in the Southern region, 20 percent of the population. አዲስ አበባ፣ መስከረም 25፣ 2005 (ኤፍ ቢ ሲ) በሃዋሳ ከተማ በህገ ወጥ መንገድ ተገኝቶ ለድሆች እንዲሸጥ የተደረጉ የተለያዩ እቃዎችን እንዲገዙ በማግባባት የማታለል ወንጀል የፈጸሙ ሁለት ወጣቶች ጥፋተኛ ተባሉ። ጥፋተኛው አብዲ መሀመድ አሊ የተባለው የ20 አመት ወጣት በሃዋሳ ከተማ ጉዱማሌ በተሰኘው ቀበሌ ፥ መንገድ ላይ ያገኛቸውን አንድ ወንድ እና አንድ ሴት ፤ በኮንትሮባንድ ተይዞ በመንግስት ውሳኔ ድሆችን ከግምት ውስጥ ባስገባ ዋጋ ይሸጥ የተባለ እቃ ስላለ ከእሱ ጋር በመሆን አብረው እንዲገዙ በማግባባት ወንጀሉን ፈጽሟል። ተከሳሹ ወንጀሉን ወደፈጸመበት ስፍራ ተበዳዮቹን ይዟቸው ካመራ በኋላ ፥ እቃዎቹን ለመግዛት ወደ ውስጥ ሲገባ ፤ እቃ በእጅ መያዝ እንደማይቻል  ነግሮ፤ ግብረ አበሩ የሆነው ሌላኛው ተከሳሽ እርሱ ሞባይል እና ወርቁን አስቀምጦ ለግብይት መግባት እንደሚፈልግ በመናገር በተበዳዮቹ ላይ እምነት እንዲያድርባቸው ካደረገ በኋላ እነርሱ ቀድመው  ለግብይት ወደ ግቢው ሲያመሩ እቃቸውን ይዞ ከአካባቢው ተሰውሯል። ግብረ አበሩ የተበዳዮቹን አንድ ኖኪያና አንድ ሳምሰንግ ሞባይል፣ አንድ ላፕ ቶፕ፣ 7 ግራም የውጭ ወርቅ እና 250 ብር በመያዝ ነው ከአካባቢው የተሰወረው። ይህን የተመለከተው አብዲ ጓደኛውን ተከትሎ ሲሮጥ ተይዞ ስለተመሰከረበት ፥ የቀረረበትን ክስ ሊያስተባብል ባለመቻሉ በፍርድ ቤት ጥፋተኛ ተብሏል። ጉዳዩን ሲከታተል የቆየው የሃዋሳ ከተማ ከፍተኛ ፍርድ ቤትም ፥ የአቃቤ ህግን የቅጣት አስተያየት ተቀብሎ ቅጣት ለመጣል ለመስከረም 29 ተለዋጭ ቀጠሮ መያዙን ጥላሁን ካሳ ዘግቧል። http://www.fanabc.com/Story.aspx?ID=26242&K=
