Leku Hospital Construction Underway
The construction of a district hospital is well underway in Sidama Zone of Leku Town, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples (SNNP) Regional State, at a cost of six million Birr, the wereda health office announced. The hospital, which is to consist of maternity and minor surgery wards, is expected to benefit an estimated 80,000 people and raise the state’s health coverage to 94pc upon its completion, according to the office. The funding for the construction was covered by Wide Horve, a nongovernmental organisation (NGO).
