የራስን ዕድል በራስ የመወሰን ጥያቄን በመጀመሪያ ለክልል ማቅረብ እንደ ግዴታ ሊቀመጥ ነው የጠያቂውን ማኅበረሰብ አምስት በመቶ ፊርማ ማሰባሰብ ያስፈልጋል የራስን ዕድል በራስ የመወሰን ጥያቄ ለፌዴሬሽን ምክር ቤት ከመቅረቡ በፊት፣ የክልል መፍትሔን አሟጦ የመጨረስ ሕጋዊ ግዴታ ሊቀመጥ ነው፡፡ የፌዴሬሽን ምክር ቤት ሥልጣንና ተግባርን ለመዘርዘር ተሻሽሎ የተረቀቀው አዋጅ እንደሚያስረዳው፣ የራስን ዕድል በራስ የመወሰን የመብት ጥያቄ በማንኛውም ማኅበረሰብ ሊቀርብ እንደሚችል፣ ነገር ግን ይህ ጥያቄ ለፌዴሬሽን ከመቅረቡ በፊት የክልል መፍትሔዎችን መጠቀም ግዴታ መሆኑን በረቂቁ አዋጅ አንቀጽ 27 ላይ ሠፍሯል፡፡ ‹‹የራስን ዕድል በራስ የመወሰን የመብት ጥያቄ ወደ ምክር ቤቱ የሚቀርበው በክልሉ በሚገኙት የተለያዩ የመስተዳደር እርከኖች ቀርቦ አጥጋቢ መፍትሔ ያልተሰጠው መሆኑ ሲረጋገጥ ብቻ ነው፤›› ይላል የረቂቁ ድንጋጌ፡፡ ክልሎችም የራስን ዕድል በራስ የመወሰን የተመለከቱ ጥያቄዎች ሲቀርቡላቸው በሁለት ዓመት ጊዜ ውስጥ መወሰን እንደሚኖርባቸውም የሚገልጽ የጊዜ ገደብ በረቂቁ ተቀምጧል፡፡ የራስን ዕድል በራስ የመወሰን የመብት ጥያቄዎች የሚባሉትም ማንኛውም ማኅበረሰብ ማንነቴ አልታወቀልኝም ብሎ የሚያነሳው ወይም ማንኛውም ብሔር፣ ብሔረሰብ ወይም ሕዝብ ቋንቋዬን፣ ባህሌንና ታሪኬን የማሳድግበት ሁኔታ አልተመቻቸልኝም፣ በክልልና በፌዴራል አስተዳደሮች ሚዛናዊ ውክልና የማግኘት መብቴ አልተከበረም፣ ወይም በማንኛውም ሌላ ምክንያት አድልኦ ተፈጽሞብኛል የሚል እምነት ካደረበት ክልላዊ አስተዳደሩን ጠብቆ ለፌዴሬሽን ምክር ቤትም ሊቀርብ የሚችል መሆኑን ይገልጻል፡፡ ከዚህ ቀደም በነበረው አሠራር የራስን ዕድል በራስ የመወሰን ጥያቄ ለክልል አስተዳደር አ

The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, officially inaugurated the Graduation Hall of Hawassa University in Ethiopia as the “African Union Hall” on 12 May 2016. The Sidama National Liberation Front (SNLF), in collaboration with Peoples’ Alliance for Freedom and Democracy (PAFD), has organised the 14th Commemorative Anniversary of the Sidama Loqqee massacre. The event marks the genocide and assassinations committed by the TPLF/EPRDF barbaric regime against the civilian population of the Sidama. This year’s event will be commemorated in unison with other peoples of Ethiopia with a renewed sense of hope, aspiration, determination and purpose to stop the continuation of such heinous crimes against humanity perpetrated by incumbent regime for the last 25 years.
