ኢትዮጵያም ተጠቅሳለች           ኦክስፎርድ ዩኒቨርሲቲ እስካሁን የኢቦላ ቫይረስ ወረርሽኝ ከተከሰተባቸው አገራት በተጨማሪ ሌሎች 15 የአፍሪካ አገራት ከእንስሳት ወደ ሰዎች ለሚተላለፍ የኢቦላ ቫይረስ የመጋለጥ እድል እንዳላቸው ሰሞኑን ባወጣው የጥናት ውጤት ማረጋገጡን ዋሽንግተን ፖስት ዘገበ፡፡ ዩኒቨርሲቲው ለበሽታው የመጋለጥ እድል አላቸው ብሎ የጠቀሳቸው የአፍሪካ አገራት:- ናይጀሪያ፣ ካሜሩን፣ መካከለኛው አፍሪካ ሪፐብሊክ፣ ጋና፣ ላይቤሪያ፣ ሴራሊዮን፣ አንጎላ፣ ቶጎ፣ ታንዛኒያ፣ ኢትዮጵያ፣ ሞዛምቢክ፣ ብሩንዲ፣ ኢኳቶሪያል ጊኒ፣ ማዳጋስካር እና ማላዊ ናቸው፡፡ በሽታው መኖሩ ከታወቀበት ጊዜ አንስቶ በአፍሪካ ውስጥ በሚገኙ አገራት 51 የተለያዩ አካባቢዎች በኢቦላ ቫይረስ የተጠቁ እንስሳት መገኘታቸውን ያስታወሰው ዘገባው፤ ከእንስሳቱ መካከልም ዝንጀሮዎችና ፍራፍሬ ተመጋቢ የሌሊት ወፎች እንደሚገኙበትና እነዚህ እንስሳት ቫይረሱን ወደ አገራቱ ያስፋፉታል ተብሎ እንደሚገመት አስታውቋል፡፡ በተያያዘ ዜና የአፍሪካ ህብረት ባለፈው ሰኞ በአዲስ አበባ በጠራው አስቸኳይ ስብሰባ፣ በአህጉሪቱ ምዕራባዊ ክፍል የተከሰተውን የኢቦላ በሽታ ለመግታትና ወደሌሎች አገራት እንዳይዛመት ለማድረግ፣ የተቀናጀ አህጉራዊ ስትራቴጂ ነድፎ መንቀሳቀስ በሚቻልበት ሁኔታ ላይ መክሯል፡፡በሽታው በተከሰተባቸው የምዕራብ አፍሪካ አገራት እየደረሰ ካለው ከፍተኛ ሰብዓዊና ማህበራዊ ጥፋት በተጨማሪ በአገራቱ ኢኮኖሚ ላይ የከፋ ጉዳት ማድረሱ በስብሰባው ላይ የተገለጸ ሲሆን የአፍሪካ የኢኮኖሚ ኮሚሽንም በበሽታው ሳቢያ በጊኒ፣ ላይቤሪያና ሴራሊዮን የአገር ውስጥ ጠቅላላ ምርት ላይ ከፍተኛ መቀነስ ሊፈጠር እንደሚችል ግምቱን ሰንዝሯል፡፡ ምንጭ፦ ኣዲስ ኣድማስ
