ከማህበራዊ መረብ ላይ የተገኘ ጽሁፍ ተጻፈ በደሳለኝ መሳ  ምንጭ፦  Desalegne Mesa ከቅርብ ዓመታት (1950ዎቹ) ወዲህ ከተመሰረተቱት ከተሞች አንፃር ሐዋሳ ጥሩ የሚባል እድገት ጎዳና ላይ እንዳለች የሚታወቅ እውነታ ነው፡፡ በተለይም ተፈጥሮ በለገሰቻት ውበት ምክንያት ሁሉም ሰው ለማለት በሚያስችል መልኩ ልቡ ወደ ሀዋሳ ሽፍተዋል፡፡ ነጋዴዎች ፣ ጎብኝዎች የመንግሥትና መንግስታዊ ያልሆኑ ድርጅቶች ምርጫና መሰብሰቢያ አየሆነች መታለች አዳሬ-ሐዋሳ፡፡ ይህንን የህዝብ ፍልሰትንና ፍላጎት ለማስተናገድና ለማርካት ይመስላል የተለያዩ ሰማይ ጠቀስ ህንፃዎች(የማን ናቸው?) መበራከት ጀምረዋል፡፡ የተጠቀሱት ሁሉ የከተማዋን ተጨማሪ ውበት ስለምሰጡ ጥሩ ናቸው፡፡ ከዚህም ያለፈ የተለያዩ ፀሐፊዎች ስለ ሀዋሳ ውበት፣ ሳቢነት፣ ሳብነቱን ተከተሎ እየተከሰቱ ያሉትን ወጣ ያሉ ተግባራትንና የሀዋሳ ሂሊውና የሆነው የሀዋሳ ሀይቅ ብክለትና ስለተደቀነበት ፈተና ጽፈዋል፤ ለሚመለከታቸው ይጠቅማል ያሉትን አስተያየቶችንም ለመሰንዘር ጥረት አድርገዋል፤ የሚሰማ ከተገኘ፡፡ ነገር ግን የዚህ ፅሑፍ አዘጋጅ ትኩረት ለመስጠት የሚፈልገው የከተማውን ያልተጠና መስፋፋትን ተከትሎ እተጎዳ ስላለው ህብረተሰብና ስለተደቀነበት አደጋ ይሆናል፡፡  ከላይ የተጠቀሱት የከተማይቱ መሳጭ ጎኖች ቢኖሩትም በዛው ልክ ደግሞ የህዝብ መከራ የሚያበዙ፣ ከአካባቢ ወጣ ያሉና የምዕራባውያን ባህል መበራከትና ነባሩን የአካባቢውን ባህልና ትውፍት በመዋጥ ረገድ ከፍተኛ አሉታዊ ተፅዕኖ ያሳድራሉ፡፡ ይህ ወጣ ያለ ነገር እንዳይከሰት ለህዝብና ባህሉ የሚቆረቆር ስርዓት መገንባትና ስርዓቱን የሚመሩ ሰዎችም የአካባቢውን ባህልና ትውፍት በሰለጠነ መልኩ ለጎብኝዎችና ለአዲስ ከታሚ ህዝብ በማቅረብ የባእድ

ሪፖርተራችን ሚሊዮን ማቲያስ በጉዳዩ ላይ ያናገራቸው በቱላ ክፍለ ከተማ በንግድ ስራ ላይ የሚተዳደሩ ካላ ማርቆስ ሪብሳ በሰጡት ኣስተያየት መንግስት በተለያዩ ጊዜት የተለያዩ የመብት ጥያቄ ያነሱ ተማሪዎች ላይ የኃይል እርምጃ መውሰዱን ኣስታውሰው፤ በተማሪዎቹ ለተነሱት ጥያቄዎች በኣግባቡ ምላሽ ከመሰጠት ይልቅ የኃይል እርምጃ መውሰድ መልካም ኣስተዳደር እና ዴሞክራሲን ኣሰፍናፈው ከምል መንግስት የምጠበቅ ኣይደልም ብለዋል። ኣክለውም መንግስት የመብት ጥያቄ በምያነሱት ላይ የኃይል እርምጃ በመውሰድ የማይቀለበሰውን የመብት ጥያቄ ለመቀልበስ ከመሞከር ሌላ ሰላማዊ ኣማራጭ መንገዶችን መምረጥ ኣለበት ብለዋል። በሃዋሳ ከተማ ኣረብ ሰፈር ነዋሪ የሆኑት እና ስማቸውን እንድጠቀስ ያልፈለጉት ሌላው ኣስተያየት ስጪ በበኩላቸው ሰሞኑን የኣላሙራ እና ታቦር ትምህር ቤቶች የሲዳማ ተማሪዎች ያነሳቸውን ጥያቄዎችን እንደምደግፉ ገልጸው፤ በከተማው በምገኙ ትምህርት ቤቶች ለሲዳምኛ ቋንቋ ትኩረት እንድሰጠው መጠየቅ ስህተት ኣለመሆኑን ኣስረድተዋል። እኝሁ ኣስተያየት ሰጪ ኣንዳብራሩት፤ የኣገሪቱ ህገ መንግስት ብሄር፤ ብሄረሰቦች እና ህዝቦች በራሳቸው ቋንቋ መማር መብት ከደነገገበት ወቅት ጅምሮ በመላው ኣገሪቷ ትምህርት በኣከባቢው ቋንቋ በመሰጠት ላይ ሳለ እዚህ ሃዋሳ ከተማ ተግባራዊ ኣለመደረጉ ኣግባቢነት የለውም። በሃዋሳ ከተማ ሰፈረ ሰላም ያገኛናቸው ሌላዋ ኣስተያየት ሰጪ በበኩላቸው የተማሪዎቹ ጥያቀ የእርሳቸውም ጥያቄ መሆኑን ጠቁመው፤ ሃዋሳ ከተማ በምገኙ በመንግስት ትምህርት ቤቶች ብቻ ሳይሆን በግል ትምህርት ቤቶችም ጭምር በሲዳምኛ ቋንቋ ትምህርት ላይ ትኩረት እንድሰጥ እንደምፈልጉ ተናግረዋል። በተያያዘ ዜና የሲዳማ የፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎች ሰሞኑን የመንግስት የጸጥታ ኃይሎች

Bizuayehu Tesfaye SIDAMA RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FORUM Abstract The composition and structure of 300 enset gardens from 10 different locations in Sidama were examined. Average size of the gardens was 0.74 ha. The gardens are composed of mixtures of various named enset varieties and different groups recognisable on the basis of ‘sex’ (male and female) and use (cooking and processing). The gardens exhibit high diversity, with a given garden containing up to 24 varieties (mean = 8.2). However, the components are not represented equally. Typically, the gardens consisted of one or two very abundant varieties and a much larger number of less common ones.
