  ቴላሞ የጡማኖ  መታሰቢያ የጡማኖ መካነ መቃብር እና የሃገር ሽማግሌው አቶ ሲዳሞ ቢረጋ ከለኩ ከተማ በስምንት ኪሎ ሜትር ገደማ ርቀት ላይ የሚገኘው ቴላሞ ነው፤ ቴላሞ የሲዳማ አድባር ነው ሲሉ የሃገር ሽማግሌዎቹ ይገልጻሉ፡፡ አረንጓዴ ምድር ምን ማለት እንደሆነ በቴላሞ ቅጥር ግቢ ያሉት ሃገር በቀል ግዙፍ የዛፍ ዝርያዎች ለትውልድ የቆሙ ማስረጃዎች ናቸው፡፡ መልከአ-ምድራዊ ውበቱ ይማርካል፤ ከደኑ መሃል በአጥር የተከበበ አንድ ቅጥር አለ፤ በዚህ ቅጥር ውስጥ የሲዳማ ነገድ አባት የሆነው የጡማኖ መቃብር ይገኛል፡፡ በስፍራው በየእጽዋቱ ስር የአረብኛ ጽሁፍ ያለባቸው ድንጋዮች ይገኛሉ፤ እንደ አካባቢው ሽማግሌዎች ገለጻ እነዚህ የአረብኛ ጽሁፍ ያለባቸው ድንጋዮች መቃብሮች ናቸው፡፡ ሲዳሞ ቢራጋ የሃገር ሽማግሌ ናቸው፤ በየግዜው ለተለያየ ጉዳይ ወደ ቴላሞ ይመጣሉ፤ ይህንን ስናጠናቅር በስፍራው ያገኘናቸውም ለተመሳሳይ ዓላማ በቴላሞ ውብ ቅጥር ግቢ ለውይይት አረፍ እንዳሉ ነው፡፡ የሲዳማ የሃገር ሽማግሌዎች የሚለብሱትን ባህላዊ አለባበስ የለበሱት አቶ ሲዳሞ ቢራጋ ስፍራውን በሚመለከት አንዳንድ ጥያቄዎችን ስናቀርብላቸው በማራኪ አተራረክ ለዛ መልሰውልናል…መነሻችን ደግሞ ቴላሞ ምንድን ነው የሚል ነበር አቶ ሲዳሞ በተረጋጋ ሁኔታ ረጃጅም የቅጥሩ ዛፎች ላይ አይናቸውን ተክለው አብራሩልን….   ይሄ ቦታ ቴላሞ ይባላል፤ ጡማኖ የሲዳማ አባት ነው፤ እዚህ ነው የተቀበረው፤ ቦታው ብዙ ዓመቱ ነው….ማን ይቆጥረዋል ብዙ ነው፤ እዚህ የወለደ ሰው አሁን አስራ ስድስት ትውልድ ሆኗል፡፡ የቅጥሩን ዙሪያ ገባ በዓይናቸው ቃኘት አድርገው መልሰው ወደ ሽማግሌዎቹ በመመልከት የቴላሞን አካባቢ ሁለንተናዊ እሴት በወፍ በረር መተረኩን ቀጥለዋል….. በዓመት በዓመት ኮርማ ይገባል…

ABSTRACT:  Agricultural cooperatives are important rural organizations supporting livelihood development and poverty reduction. In recognition of such roles of cooperatives, Ethiopia showed a renewed interest in recent years in promoting cooperative sector development. However, there is lack of a wider and systematic analysis to produce sufficient empirical evidence on the livelihood development and poverty reduction impacts of cooperatives in the country. Using a matching technique on rural household income, saving, agricultural input expenditure and asset accumulation as indicator variables, this paper evaluates the livelihood impact of agricultural cooperatives in Sidama zone, Ethiopia. The finding shows that cooperatives improved the livelihoods of service user farmers through impacting better income, more savings and reduced input costs. Eulogy to Gujo No’ora The giant of the Sidama elders and one of the vanguards of the Sidama demand for regional self-administration, Gujo No’ora passed on.  We are deeply saddened by the news of the death of one of the bravest and wisest Sidama elders.  Gujo No’ora, from Hula, Sidama is a prolific speaker, an oral historian, and a civil rights activist.   In one of the meetings held in Sidama Cultural Hall in Hawassa some 15 years ago, Gujo No’ora stood up and narrated the history of the origin of the Sidama people more succinctly than an educated scholar could ever do.   I remember some of his words like today: He said in Sidaamuafo: “Xa yanna manni Sidaamu hiikkini dayinoro buuxe diaffino. Sidaamu Gibixete  gobaani dayino.
