ABSTRACT I have done this research using qualitative survey method conducted to identify the participation of women in saving and credit cooperatives. This was done in Shebedino district, Sidama zone, South, Nations, Nationalities and people’s regional state, Ethiopia. The data was collected both from primary and secondary sources. Primary data was gathered from the administration of semi structured questionnaires. The questionnaires were focused on collecting the information about participation of women in saving and credit services. A sample size for this research consisted equal proportion of 30 female and male respondents from 3 saving and credit cooperatives. Hamer ABSTRACT This article analyses the conversion process and the experiences of the Sidama, in being proselytised by Protestant missionaries in an attempt to integrate them into the modernising Ethiopian state. The conversion process is considered in terms of reasons for accepting or rejecting the new religion. A minority of Sidama are shown to have changed from old beliefs and practices, partly because of the ease of moral reinterpretation and secular incentives, but primarily because of dissatisfaction with reciprocal exchange relations with indigenous spirits and a desire to transcend the finality of death. In advancing this proposition it rejects the possibility of Sidama beliefs as constituting a closed system of cosmology. Though Islam is also present in the region, for political and economic reasons it has been less attractive to prospective converts than Christianity. በሙሉ ስሙ ቴውድሮስ ሃይለስላሴ ጫሞላ ተብሎ የሚጠራው የቼክ ሪፑብልክ ብሄራዊ የእግር ኳስ ቡድን ተጫዋች የሲዳማና የቼክ ዴም ያለው ሲሆን፤ በኣሁኑ ጊዜ በቡንዱስ ሊጋ ለሚወዳደረው ዌርደር በሬሜን ቡድን በመጫወት ላይ ይገኛል። የ25 ኣመቱ  ወጣት ወደ ኣገሪቱ ብሄራዊ ብድን በመቀላቀል ብሄራዊ ቡድኑ ለኣውሮፓ ዋንጫ ሽሚያ የሚያደርገውን ግስጋሴ ኣጋግሎት ለውጤት ማብቃቱ ይነጋራል። በኣውሮፓ ሻምፕዮ 2012 ላይም ቢሆን ቴውድሮስ ኣገሩ ከግርክ ጋር ባደረገው ግጥም ላይ ከሃላ ወደፊት በረጅሙ  እየሰነጠቀ በምሰጣቸው እና ለእጥቂዎቹ ኣመቻችቶ በሚያቀብላቸው ኳሶች ኣድናቆት ማትረፉ ይታዎሳል። ቴውድሮስ ቼክሪፑብሊክ በማጣሪያ ጫዋታዎች ስፔን ከመሳሰሉ ጠንከራ ብሄራዊ ቡድን ካላቸው  ኣገራት ጋር ባደረገችው ጫዋታዎች ላይ ያሳየው ብቃት በኣውሮፓ ትላልቅ የእግር ኳስ ቡድኖች ኣይን ውስጥ ለመግባት እንደቻለ ተነግሯል። የቴውድሮስ ኣባት ዶክተር ገብሬ ስላሴ ጫሞላ ኢትዮጵያ በኮሚኒስት ስርኣት በምትተዳደርበት ጊዜ በተመሳሳይ መልኩ በኮሚኒስት ስርኣት ትተዳደር ወደነበረችው ወደ የቀድሞዋ ቼኮሶሎቫኪያ ከዛሬ 25 በፊት መግባታቸው እና ትዳር መስርተው ኑሮኣቸውን በዛው ማድረጋቸው የህይወት ታሪካቸው ያስረዳል። ከዶክተር ገብሬ ስላሴ ጫሞላ ቤተሰብ ስፖርተኛ ቤተሰብ ሲሆን፤ ኣና የምትባለው የቴውድሮስ እህት ለኣገሪቱ ለቼክሪፑብሊክ የእጅ ኳስ ቡድን እንደምትጫዎት ታውቋል።

ሰሞነኛው ውዥንብር ኢብሳ ነመራ የደቡብ ብሔር ብሔሮች፣ ብሔረሰቦችና ሕዝቦች ክልላዊ መንግስት ርዕሰ ከተማ የሆነችው ሀዋሳ፣ ሰሞኑን የኢትዮጵያ ጉዳይ ላይ የሚያተኩሩ የውጭና የአገር ውስጥ ሚዲያዎች ትኩረት ማረፊያ ሆና ሰንብታለች፡፡ የመገናኛ ብዙሃኑ የሃዋሳ ከተማን አስታከው የሲዳማን ብሄር የሚመለከቱ ጉዳዮችንም አንስተዋል፡፡ የመገናኛ ብዙሃኑ መነሻ፣ ግንቦት 2004 ዓ.ም ማገባደጃ ላይ “ሜትሮ ፖሊታን ከተማችንን እንዴት እንምራት” በሚል በክልሉ መንግስት የቀረበ ጥናታዊ ሰነድ ላይ የተደረገ ውይይት መሆኑንም ነግረውናል፡፡ ጉዳዩን አስቀድሞ ያነሳው ፍትህ የተሰኘው ሳምንታዊ የአማርኛ ጋዜጣ ነው፡፡ “ሲዳማ 2፣ ዳግም የሲዳማ እናቶች እንዳያነቡ /Sidaamu Amuwi Lanyikimeesho Wila’anok Gede” (በላቲን ፊደል የተፃፈው ሲዳምኛ ነው) በሚል ርዕስ በሰኔ 15፣ 2004 ዓ.ም ዕትሙ ከላይ የተጠቀሰውን ለውይይት ቀረበ የተባለ ሰነድ መነሻ አድርጎ አንድ ፅሁፍ አስነብቦናል፡፡ ፍትህ ከዚህ ቀደም የጋዜጣው አቋም መሆኑን እስኪያሳብቅ ድረስ በብሄር ላይ የተመሰረተውን የኢትዮጰያ የፌደራል አወቃቀር ክፋትና ስጋት ሲሰብከን መቆየቱ ይታወቃል፡፡ ከላይ በተጠቀሰው ርዕስ በጋዜጣው አምደኛ ሙሉነህ አያሌው በቀረበው ፅሁፍ ግን ለብሔር ተከል የአስተዳደር ስርዓት ሕልውና ያለውን ተቆርቋሪነት ሊያሳይ ሞክሯል፡፡ የጋዜጣው አዘጋጆች የኢትዮጵያ ብሄሮች፣ ብሔረሰቦችና ሕዝቦች ከሁለት አስርት አመታት በፊት ከቀበርነው የአንድ ብሄር የበላይነት ሲንፀባረቅበት ከነበረው አሃዳዊ የመንግስት ስርዓት ኑፋቄ ደዌ መፈወሳቸው ደግ በሚስልም፤ የአቋም ለውጡ ዱብዳ ስለሆነ “እንኳን ተፈወሳችሁ” ብዬ ከማጨብጨብ ይልቅ፣ መገለባበጡ ውስጥ የተሰነቀረ አንዳች ጤናማ ያል
