Abstract Vitamin-A deficiency is a major public health problem in developing countries including Ethiopia. Promoting consumption of locally available vitamin -A rich foods that can be grown in home gardens can reduce the problem of vitamin- A deficiency. The main objective of this study was to determine nutritional, microbial and sensory properties of flat-bread prepared from maize ( Zea mays  L.) and orange-fleshed sweet potato ( Ipomoea batatas L.) flour blends. Flat-bread was developed with different proportion of orange-fleshed sweet potato to maize flour: 25%:75%, 30%:70%, 35%:65% and 0%:100% (control). The proximate analysis of flat-bread and flour was done. The total bacterial and mold/yeast count was conducted in Hawassa University and the sensory acceptability of flat-bread was carried out by mothers and children pairs using five point hedonic scales and preference test was done by children. WHILE ENJOYING its status as an international development darling, Ethiopia has been chipping away at its citizens’ freedom of expression. The country now holds the shameful distinction of having the second-most journalists in exile in the world, after Iran. That combination of Western subsidies and political persecution should not be sustainable. According to a  new report by Human Rights Watch , at least 60 journalists have fled the country since 2010, including 30 last year, and at least 19 have been imprisoned. Twenty-two faced criminal charges in 2014. The government closed five newspapers and a magazine within the past year, leaving Ethiopia with no independent private media outlets. With the country headed toward elections in May, the pressure on the media has undermined the prospect of a free and fair vote. ‹‹ምርጫ ቦርድ እየተሰደበ የሚቀጥል አይመስለኝም››   ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ኃይለ ማርያም ደሳለኝ ‹‹አሁንም እደግመዋለሁ ቦርዱ ገለልተኛ አይደለም››   አቶ ግርማ ሰይፉ የ2007 ዓ.ም. ግማሽ ዓመት የሥራ አፈጻጸማቸውን ለሕዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር ቤት ባለፈው ሐሙስ ሪፖርት ያደረጉት ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ኃይለ ማርያም ደሳለኝ፣ በኢትዮጵያ ምርጫ ቦርድ ገለልተኝነት ላይ የሚሰነዘሩ ትችቶችን ጠንከር ብለው በማጣጣል ተከላከሉ፡፡ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትሩ 18 ገጽ ባለው የሥራ አፈጻጸም ሪፖርታቸው ውስጥ ዘንድሮ አገሪቱ ከምታስተናግዳቸው ትልልቅ ኩነቶችና የቀጣይ አምስት ዓመት የአገሪቱ ጉዞን ከሚወስኑ ጉዳዮች ዋነኛው፣ በግንቦት ወር የሚካሄደው ጠቅላላ ምርጫ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል፡፡ በግንቦት ወር የሚካሄደው አምስተኛው ጠቅላላ ምርጫ ዴሞክራሲያዊ፣ ሰላማዊና በሕዝቦች ዘንድ ዓመኔታ ያለው ሆኖ እንዲጠናቀቅ መንግሥት በሁሉም መስክ አስፈላጊውን ዝግጅት እንዳደረገና በቀጣይ ሒደቱን በንቃት በመከታተል መንግሥታዊ ግዴታውን እንደሚወጣ አስታውቀዋል፡፡ ይህ የጠቅላይ ሚኒስትሩ ሐሳብና አገላለጽ ግን ሊበተን የዚህን ዓመት መገባደድ በሚጠብቀው ፓርላማ ውስጥ የተቃዋሚው የአንድነት ለዴሞክራሲና ለፍትሕ ፓርቲ ብቸኛ ተወካይ ለሆኑት አቶ ግርማ ሰይፉ አልተዋጠላቸውም፡፡ ምክንያቱ ደግሞ ከጠቅላይ ሚኒስትሩ ሪፖርት አንድ ሳምንት ቀደም ብሎ ምርጫ ቦርድ በአንድነት ፓርቲ ውስጥ በተፈጠረ አለመግባባት ላይ የሰጠው ውሳኔ፣ አቶ ግርማ የሚመሩትን የፓርቲው ወገን ዕውቅና የነፈገ በመሆኑ ነው፡፡ ‹‹ዛሬ እንደ ወትሮው ባቀረቡት ሪፖርት ላይ ዝርዝር ጉዳዮች እያነሳሁ ማብራሪያ እንዲሰጡኝ እንደማልጠይቅ የሚያውቁ ይመስለኛል፤›› በማለት የጀመሩት አቶ ግርማ፣ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትሩ በሪፖርታቸው ምርጫው በሕዝብ ዘ

በትናንትናው እለት በአበበ ቢቂላ ስታዲየም በተካሄዱ የኢትዮጵያ ጥሎ ማለፍ የእግር ኳስ ጨዋታዎች ሐዋሳ ከነማና መከላከያ ድል ቀናቸው። በተመሳሳይ መከላከያ ከዳሽን ቢራ ባደረጉት ጨዋታ በመከላከያ 2 ለ 0 አሸናፊነት ተጠናቋል። የመከላከያ የአሽናፊነት ግቦች በፍጹም ቅጣት የተገኙ ሲሆን ምንይሉ ወንድሙና መሀመድ ናስር ግቦችን ያስቆጠሩ ተጨዋች ናቸው። በተመሳሳይ 10 ሰዓት ላይ ደደቢት ከሐዋሳ ተገናኝተው በመደኛው ሰዓት 2 ለ 2  በሆነ ውጤት በመለያየታቸው ወደ መለያ ምት አምርተው ሐዋሳ ከነማ ደደቢትን 4 ለ 3  በሆነ ውጤት ረቷል። ሳሙኤል ሳኑሚ ሁለቱን ግቦች ለደደቢት ሲያስቆጥር ተመስጌን ተክሉና ገብረሚካኤል ያቆብ አንዳንድ ግቦችን ለሐዋሳ አስቆጥረዋል። በጨዋታው መጠናቀቂያ አካባቢ የሐዋሳ ከነማ ግብ ጠባቂ ሀብቶም ቢሰጠኝ ከደደቢት አጥቂ ዳዊት ፍቃዱ ጋር ባሳዩት ያልተገባ ስፖርታዊ ጨዋነት ሁለቱም በቀይ ካርድ ከሜዳ ተሰናብተዋል። ጥሎ ማለፉ ዛሬ የሚቀጥል ሲሆን አዳማ ከነማ ከወላይታ ዲቻ፣ ኢትዮጵያ ንግድ ባንክ ከመብራት ኃይል በ 8 እና በ10 ሰዓት የሚፋለሙ ይሆናል። - See more at: http://www.ena.gov.et/index.php/sport/item/1718-2015-02-06-04-03-22#sthash.qDLTVoCA.dpuf
