Ethiopia, Africa’s biggest coffee producer, will benefit from unusually dry weather in Brazil that has  lowered the  output and helped lift the price of Arabica beans. Arabica prices surged to a three-year high – to over 200 US cents per pound – in October, which is expected to lift Ethiopia’s coffee export earnings by 25 per cent to $900m this year. But Ethiopia is missing an opportunity to make a lot more money from arabica, which originated in the country’s highlands, and is considered the superior of two main varieties of coffee bean (the other, robusta, is more bitter and tends to be used to make instant coffee). የባለፈው ዓመት የሊጉ ችግሮች አይደገሙም- ፌደሬሽኑ ባለፈው ዓመት የኢትዮጵያ ፕሪሚየር ሊግን  ውበት ያሳጡት ችግሮች እንዳይደገሙ  ዝግጅት ማድረጉን የኢትዮጵያ እግር ኳስ ፌደሬሽን አስታወቀ፡፡ የ2007 የኢትዮጵያ ፕሪሚየር ሊግ ጨዋታዎች ጥቅምት 15 መጀመራቸውን ተከትሎ ነው ከወድሁ ፌደሬሽኑ ቅድመ ዝግጅት ማድረጉን እየተናገረ ያለው፡፡ ፌደሬሽኑ በሊጉ ጨዋታዎች ወቅት የሚከሰቱ የዳኝነት ችግሮች፣ የጨዋታዎች ረዘም ላለ ጊዜ መቋረጥና የክልል ስታዲዮሞች ደረጃ ችግርን ለመፍታት ሰፊ ስራ መስራቱን ገልጿል፡፡ የፌደሬሽኑ ህዝብ ግንኙነት ሀላፊ አቶ ወንድምኩን አላዩ በተለይ ለኢትዮጵያ ብሮድካስቲንግ ኮርፖሬሽን እንደገለጹት  የዳኞችንና የኮሚሽነሮችን አቅም ለማሻሻል ሰፊ የሙያ ስልጠና ተሰጥቷል፡፡ ዳኞችና ኮሚሽነሮች የባለፈውን ዓመት አፈጻጽም በመገምገምም ክፍትቶቻቸውን የሚሞሉበትን ዝግጅት ማድረጋቸውንም ገልፀዋል፡፡ ፌደሬሽኑ የዳኞችን  የስራ ተነሳሽነት ለማሳደግም  ክፍያቸውን አሻሽሏል፡፡ የ2007 የሊጉ የጨዋታ መርሃ ግብር ከዚህ በፊት እንደሚከሰተው በብሔራዊ ቡድን ዝግጅትና በሌሎች ምክንያቶች በመቋረጥ ውበቱን እንዳያጣ ዓለም አቀፍና አህጉር አቀፍ ጨዋታዎችን መነሻ በማድረግ መዘጋጀቱን አቶ ወንድምኩን ገልጸዋል፡፡ በክልሎች የሚገኙ ክለቦች ደረጃውን የጠበቀ ስታዲዮም  እንዲያዘጋጁ  በማሳሰቡ፣ሁሉም የክልል ክለቦች ስታዲዮሞቻቸውን ለማሻሻል እየሰሩ መሆናቸውን ተናግረዋል፡፡ እንዳቶ ምንድምኩን ገለፃ ፌደሬሽኑ የ2006 ዓ/ም አፈፃፅምን በመገምገም የነበሩበትን ክፍተቶች ለማሻሻል በመስራቱ የባለፈው ዓመት ችግሮች በዚህ ዓመት እንዳይደገሙ በጥንቃቄ ለመምራት ተዘጋጅቷል፡፡ የኢትዮጵያ ፕሪሚየር ሊግ የ2007 የጨዋታ መርሃ ግብር በመጪው ቅዳ

የጡት ካንሰር ህክምና በዩኒቨርሲቲዎች መሰጠት ሊጀመር ነው የጡት ካንሰር ህክምናን በ5 ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ለመጀመር የሚያስችል ዝግጅት እየተደረገ መሆኑን በጡት ካንሰር ዙሪያ የሚሰሩ የበጎ አድራጎት ድርጅቶች ገለጹ። ይህን ህክምና ለመጀመር የሚያስችል የመሳሪያና የባለሞያ ዝግጅት እየተደረገ መሆኑ ተገልጿል። ህክምናው የሚሰጠው በጅማ፣ ሃዋሳ፣ መቀሌ፣ ጎንደር እና ሃሮማያ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ነው። ዓለም አቀፉ የጡት ካንሰር ቀን ጥቅምት 16 በተለያዩ ዝግጅቶች ሲከበርም አዲስ አበባን ጭምሮ በኦሮሚያ፣ አማራ፣ ደቡብ እና ትግራይ ክልሎች የእግር ጉዞ በማካሄድ ነው። የዚህ በአል አላማ ህብረተሰቡ የጡት ካንሰርን አስቀድሞ የመከላከል፣ የምርመራና የህክምና አማራጮችን ግንዛቤ ማሳደግ ነው። የጡት ካንሰር ህመምን ሙሉ ለሙሉ አስቀድሞ መከላከል ባይቻልም ህመሙ እንደተከሰት ተገቢው ህክምና ከተሰጠ የመዳን እድሉ  ሰፊ ነው። የዕድሜ መግፋት፣ ከመጠን ያለፍ ክብደት፣ አልኮል መጠጣት፣ ጡት አለመጥባትና መሰል ምክንያቶች ለጡት ካንሰር እንደሚያጋልጥ የዘርፉ ባለሞያዎች ይናገራሉ። ምንጭ፦ EBC

Uganda has fallen five places according to the latest Coca Cola FIFA rankings released on Thursday October 24. Uganda;  79th last month  is now ranked 84th in the world and 21st in Africa with 389 points. The fall is attributed to the back-to-back losses to Togo in the  Africa Nations Cup qualifiers  and Uganda Cubs' (U-17)  failure to go past Zambia in the Africa Youth Championship qualifiers . Neighbours Kenya have also fallen five places from 111st to 116; a fall attributed to losses against Morocco and Egypt in international friendlies. However, there was rise for Tanzania and Ethiopia who are now ranked 110 and 111 in the world respectively. Ethiopia were the biggest movers rising 21 places from 132 last month.
