“...ክፍተቱን ማጥበብ ትልቅ ነገር ነው...” የኢትዮጵያ የጽንስና ማህጸን ሐኪሞች ማህበር (WATCH) ዋች ከተሰኘ ግብረሰናይ ድርጅትና ሌሎች አጋር ድርጅቶች ጋር በመተባበር በሚወለዱ ጨቅላ ሕጻናትና እናቶች ዙሪያ አፋጣኝና መሰረታዊ የሆኑ ሕክምናዎችን ለመስጠት የሚያስችል ስልጠና በተለያዩ መስተዳድር አካላት ለሚገኙ የጤና ባለሙያዎች መስጠቱ ይታወሳል፡፡ ከዚህ ስልጠና አስቀድሞ በየመስ ተዳድር አካላቱ የሚገኙ የዞን ...የወረዳ... አካላት እና  ሌሎች መሰል ተቋማት ውስጥ በኃላፊነት የሚሰሩ አባላትን ስለጉዳዩ በቂ እውቀት እንዲያገኙ ከጤና ባለሙያዎቹ አስቀድሞ ስልጠና ሰጥቶአል፡፡ ከስልጠናው በሁዋላ ያለው የስራ እንቅስቃሴ ምን ይመስላል? በሚል በደቡብ ብሔር ብሔረ ሰቦች ሐዋሳ ዙሪያ ከጤና ባለሙያዎች ጋር ያደረግነውን ቆይታ ለዚህ እትም ንባብ እነሆ ብለናል፡፡ ...አንድ አባት ከመኪና ውስጥ አጠገቤ ተቀምጠዋል። በምናልፍበት አካባቢ ከርቀት አንድ ጤና ጣብያ ተመለከትን፡፡ የምንመለከተው ጤና ጣቢያ ማን ይባላል? አልኩና ጠየቅ ሁዋቸው፡፡ እሳቸውም እኔም ለአገሩ እንግዳ ስለሆንኩ አላውቀውም የሚል ነበር መል ሳቸው፡፡ ቀጠል አድርገውም ...ምን...ጤና ጣብያ በየቦታው ተሰርቶ እያለ ነገር ግን ተጠ ቃሚው በተለይም እናቶች እምብዛም ናቸው... ብዙዎቹ የሚወልዱትም በቤታቸው ነው ...አሉኝ፡፡ ለምንድነው ብዬ ስጠይቅ ...ይህንን እኔም አላውቅም...እራሳቸውን ብታገኝ ያቸው እና ብትጠይቂ ጥሩ ነው አሉኝ ...እና ተለያየን፡፡ በኢትዮጵያ በተለያዩ ብሄረሰቦች ዘንድ የተለያዩ ጎጂና ጎጂ ያልሆኑ ልማዳዊ ድርጊች እንደነበሩ እና አልፎ አልፎም አሁንም እንደሚፈጸሙ እሙን ነው፡፡ አንዲት የሲዳማ ሴት እንዳወጋችን ከሆነ... “...በደቡብ ሲዳማ አካባቢ ሐሜሳ የሚባል ከእንጨት መሰል

Addis Ababa (HAN) May 2, 2014. The Oromo demonstrations (OPDO & elemnts of OLF) erupted in Addis Ababa against plans by the Ethiopian government to incorporate part of Oromia into the capital. Oromia is Ethiopia’s largest region and Oromos are the country’s largest ethnic group, willing to win the next election. Oromos say the government wants to weaken their political power. They say expanding the capital threatens the local Oromo language, which is not taught in Addis Ababa schools; under the rule of Federal juridictions, such as Dire-Dawa and Addis Ababa. Ethiopian Spokesman, denied the killings and said the master plan for expansion in Addis Ababa was publicized long ago and would bring the Capital Addis Ababa services to remote areas, inside Oromo National Regional State. Personal Qualities–Self-motivated, active learners; interested in food security, global health, and sustainable development issues; able to accept unexpected changes in travel schedule, accommodations, and other course logistics; able to tolerate heat, dust, and simple living conditions and be without modern conveniences 2. Language–There is no language prerequisite, as English is the language used for secondary education and above in Ethiopia. We will have language lessons
