It’s one of the Sidama nation’s cultural heritages that uniquely characterize the nation. Fichchee has been celebrated since time immemorial. የአገሪቷን የወጪ ንግድ ገቢን ለማሳደግ በየዓመቱ የሚያዘው ውጥንና ትግበራው ዘንድሮም አልተጣጣመም፡፡ የ12ቱ ወራት የወጪ ንግድ ክንውን በ2005 ዓ.ም. ዋዜማ ላይ ሲወጠን አገሪቱ በ2005 በጀት ዓመት ታገኛለች ተብሎ የተጠበቀውን ያህል ብቻ ሳይሆን ከቀዳሚው ዓመት ክንዋኔ ጋር ሲነፃፀርም አንሶ ተገኝቷል፡፡ የ2005 በጀት ዓመት የወጪ ንግድ ገቢ ዕቅድ አምስት ቢሊዮን ዶላር ሲሆን፣ ተገኘ የተባለው ግን 3.08 ቢሊዮን ዶላር ነው፡፡ አምና 3.2 ቢሊዮን ዶላር የውጭ ምንዛሪ ተገኝቶ ነበር፡፡ በበጀት ዓመቱ የተገኘው የውጭ ምንዛሪ በተፈለገው ዕቅድ መጠን አለመስተካከሉ የአገሪቱ ዋና ዋና የወጪ ንግድ ምርቶች ገቢ በመቀነሳቸው ነው፡፡ በተለይ ከቡና የወጪ ንግድ ከተጠበቀው በታች የሆነ ገቢ ማስገኘቱ አንዱ ምክንያት ሆኗል፡፡ በበጀት ዓመቱ ከቡና 1.2 ቢሊዮን ዶላር እንደሚገኝ ታሳቢ የተደረገ ቢሆንም፣ የተገኘው ግን 746.4 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ነው፡፡ ይህ ገቢ በበጀት ዓመቱ ከቡና ይገኛል ተበሎ ከነበረው ገቢ በሁለት በመቶ አንሷል፡፡ ባለፈው ዓመት ተገኝቶ የነበረው ገቢ 832.9 ሚሊዮን ዶላር በመሆኑ በሁለቱ ዓመታት የተመዘገበው የውጭ ምንዛሪ ከ86 ሚሊዮን ዶላር በላይ ቀንሶ ታይቷል፡፡ ከቡና የተገኘው የውጭ ምንዛሪ ገቢ ከተጠበቀው መጠን በታች ይሁን እንጂ ለውጭ ገበያ የቀረበው የቡና መጠን ዕድገት አሳይቷል፡፡ በ2005 በጀት ዓመት ለውጭ ገበያ የቀረበው የቡና መጠን በ19 በመቶ አድጐ ወደ 200 ሺሕ ቶን የሚጠጋ ቡና ለገበያ ቀርቧል፡፡ በዚህን ያህል መጠን አድጐ የተላከው ቡና ለምን ገቢው ቀነሰ የሚለው ጥያቄ የተለያዩ ምክንያቶች የሚቀርቡበት ቢሆንም፣ ዋነኛ ምክንያቱ ግን በዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃ የቡና ዋጋ መቀነሱ ነው፡፡ በተለ

Add caption ‘Fichche’ is the most celebrated Sidama cultural holiday which represents the Sidama New Year. The Fichche is based on the lunar system. Sidama elders (astrologists) observe the movement of the stars in the sky and decide the date for the New Year and the Fichche celebration. The Sidama New Year is therefore is unique in that it does not have a fixed date. It rotates every year following the movements of the stars. Sidama has 13 months in a year. And each of the months is divided equally into 28 days while the 13th month has 29 days. This is because the Sidama week has only 4 days and hence each month has 7 weeks instead of the conventional 4 weeks. The names of the 4 days in Sidama week are called: Dikko, Deela, Qawadoo and Qawalanka to be followed by Dikko completing the cycle of a 4-day week.
