Algeria/Mali: Can-2015 (playoffs)-Algeria - "Even Qualified, I Want to Win Against Ethiopia, Mali," Says Gourcuff

Algiers — The Algerian football team will play to win its last two games in the qualifiers for the African (CAN-2015) Nations Cup against Ethiopia and Mali (on 15 and 19 November), even if it has already booked its place for the next continental tournament, the national coach, Christian Gourcuff said Tuesday.
"We will play the remaining two games with the same mindset. Our goal will be to win both games. There will be no demobilization, although our goal is already achieved as we ensured our early qualification" said the French coach during a press conference at the conference room of Mohamed Boudiaf complex (Algiers).
"Now that we have secured our qualification, we hope to further improve the way we play. I have already noticed a significant progress in the previous match against Malawi (3-0). The next two appointments should be those of confirmation," he added.
The former coach of FC Lorient (1st French League), welcomed the reaction of his players vis-à-vis the game system he wanted to adopt (4-4-2), adding that Yacine Brahimi's teammates "have understood this strategy."
Referring to his next opponent, Ethiopia, beaten by the Greens in Addis Ababa at the opening of qualifications, Gourcuff does not underestimate this team.
